7 Layer Dip

Ok, so I have to post the recipe for this dip. Every single time I make it for a party, people ask me for the recipe, it’s absolutely amazing! I have a friend who doesn’t like vegetables, and even she loves it!

It’s super easy, makes a big tray to feed a lot of people, it’s tasty, takes about 5 to 10 minutes to make and is totally delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of chili con carne
  • Guacamole (about 500-600g), homemade if possible
  • Greek yogurt
  • Shredded cheese (I use a 4 cheese mix)
  • Chopped tomato
  • Chopped onion
  • Chopped black olives

Preparation:

This recipe calls for a glass tray, so that you can see the different layers. It just makes it much more interesting.

Start with the chili con carne, just open the can and spread it at the bottom of the tray. You can leave it at room temperature or heat it up for a couple of seconds in the microwave if it’s too stiff.

Continue layering on top, covering the entire surface of the layer with the next ingredient. So next would be the guacamole. Then the greek yogurt.

Once the yogurt is spread, just sprinkle some shredded cheese on top. I like to put enough cheese so that you will get a little bit with every bite, but not too much so that it’s not too heavy. You decide what amount to use! 😉

After the cheese just sprinkle a little chopped tomato, onion and black olives on top. This last step gives it a ton of freshness. I love it!

Serve along with a big bowl of nacho chips to dip, and enjoy!
