French Onion Dip
This dip is perfect for a snack, as finger food during a movie, or just for a quick snack. The good thing is that you can pair it with raw veggies, nachos, chips or spread it on a cracker, if you like. But it is especially delicious with raw vegetables.
Ingredients:
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 1/2 cups greek yogurt
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Preparation:
In a pan, add about two tablespoons of olive oil, and when it is hot, add the chopped onion and a pinch of salt. Over a medium heat, cook the onion until caramelized, for approximately 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Mix the rest of the ingredients in a bowl. When the onions have cooled, add them to the mixture and stir well. Season with salt and pepper and reserve in the refrigerator until serving time. Before serving, stir again.
Try this recipe, it has been very successful when I have served it. And it’s a great way to keep the appetizer healthy if served with raw veggies!
